In 2021, ANZ and CMC Markets agreed to transition customers from ANZ Share Investing to CMC Markets Invest. This was part of ANZ's strategy to focus on core banking services.

As CMC Markets has operated ANZ Share Investing's trading platform since September 2018, this transition occurred with minimal disruption and added investing benefits.

All ANZ Share Investing accounts began transitioning to CMC Markets from October 2022 and were completed by 15 March 2023 ANZ Share Investing is now closed.

For over 20 years, CMC Markets has helped Australians achieve their financial goals with award-winning service and trading tools. We powered the ANZ Share Investing platform between September 2018 and February 2023.

If you have already set up your new CMC Markets Invest log in details, follow the steps here to log in to your account.

If you haven’t yet, first create your log in details by following the steps here.

Set up your new CMC Markets Invest account in 3 simple steps

Step 1: To confirm your details, go to the self-service set-up link here, where you have the option to enter your ANZ Share Investing User ID. If you don't have your User ID you will still be able to proceed with the verification process.

Step 2: You will go through a 2-step verification process and be asked for additional information to confirm your identity. Make sure you have at least one of the following when trying access your account:

• Your trading PIN;

• The stocks you currently hold (if any);

• Details of your settlement account (the account used to settle your trades); and

• Your HIN number.

Tip: If you don’t remember your ANZ Share Investing User ID, select ‘I don’t remember my user ID and password’ and follow the prompts to confirm your identity with additional information.

Step 3: Once your identity is confirmed, please follow the prompts to log in to your CMC Markets Invest account.

Visit the iOS App Store or Android Google Play Store to download the CMC Markets Invest app.

All users who had access to your ANZ Share Investing account can still access your transitioned account with CMC Markets Invest if they have created their new CMC Markets Invest username and password.

You can still access your portfolio with a joint account. Simply log into the CMC Markets invest platform to view.

You will not need to provide any further documentation for your CMC Markets Invest account. As CMC Markets was the platform provider for ANZ Share Investing since 2018, your information is available to CMC Markets and is kept secure.

ANZ Share Investing customers who have not self- transitioned, were automatically migrated on 15 March 2023 to CMC Markets Invest. If you wish to close your account, you will need to contact CMC Markets Invest on 1300 303 888, Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 7pm, Sydney/Melbourne time.

No. The transition of ANZ Share Investing clients to CMC Markets Invest was finalised on 15 March 2023 and ANZ Share Investing is now closed.

Yes. Engage your alternate broker to start this process. 

Once you have transitioned, you can login with the new CMC Markets Invest username and password you created.

You can access the CMC Markets Invest platform here:

• Standard platform

• Pro platform

There will be no impact to your HIN, holdings or portfolio. These will remain the same and you can continue funding your account and trading the same way on the CMC Markets Invest platform or via their mobile apps. Your historical reports will also be available on the CMC Markets Invest platform.

As an ANZ Share Investing customer, you received early access to CMC Markets Invest brokerage rates, and we notified you when these were available to you. Early access included CMC Markets Invest's $0 brokerage for Australian buy orders under $1,000 (limited to one buy order per stock per trading day) and $0 brokerage for international trades on US, UK, Canadian and Japanese markets. Foreign Exchange spreads apply.

After transitioning to CMC Markets Invest, you will continue to benefit from these low online brokerage rates, fees and charges. Please refer to the CMC Markets Invest Financial Services Guide for more details.

Your in-platform desktop experience hasn’t changed. As a CMC Markets Invest client, you now have access to a new mobile app for iOS and Android users.

Yes. Your Pro benefits will remain the same, including the access to the Pro platform.

Yes. A subscription to the Pro platform costs $49 (incl. GST), however if you trade 5 times or more per calendar month, the fee is waived. Fees are applied in arrears per calendar month.

No. On transition, CMC Markets Invest will not offer Qantas Points.

No. Download the CMC Markets Invest app for iOS App Store or Android Google Play for seamless trading on the go.

Access your other ANZ accounts will still be available through anz.com or the ANZ app.

No. Once your account has transitioned to CMC Markets Invest, you will no longer be able to access your share trading account via ANZ Internet Banking. You'll be required to log in directly to the CMC Markets Invest trading platform via either the desktop or mobile application. If you have one, you'll still be able to see your ANZ Cash Investment Account balance, transactions and transfer funds into your ANZ Cash Investment Account via ANZ Internet Banking.

Accounts that transitioned to CMC Markets Invest are subject to CMC Markets Invest legal and disclosure documents. You can review the applicable CMC Markets legal documents (as amended from time to time) here.

Your ANZ Cash Investment Account will stay the same. It will continue to be integrated with your trading account; in the same way it is today. You will continue to be able to withdraw funds from your linked ANZ Cash Investment Account via the CMC Markets Invest platform.

To login to your trading account, you'll use the CMC Markets Invest website or mobile app instead of accessing your trading account from the ANZ.com website, ANZ Internet Banking or the ANZ App.

Yes. You can continue to use your ANZ Cash Investment Account, for your share trading on the CMC Markets Invest trading platform. If you have provided instructions for dividends to be paid into your ANZ Cash Investment Account, there will be no change to this either.

No. There will be no change to the processing of funds in and out of your ANZ Cash Investment Account.

No. You will not need to open another bank account to trade on CMC Markets Invest. You can continue using your ANZ Cash Investment Account with CMC Markets Invest.

To nominate a new linked bank account, simply:

1. Log on to the CMC Markets Invest platform

2. Select 'Transfer funds' from the 'Account' menu

3. Select 'External Bank Account Setup'

4. Enter your nominated bank account information and select Submit

Yes. All trading history and documents will move across to your CMC Markets Invest account.

All your open orders and partially open orders will still be available once you have transitioned.

These orders will be subject to the rates at which they were placed. If you would like to benefit from your new CMC Markets Invest brokerage rates, you will need to cancel and re-place the order.

Yes. All watchlists created on your ANZ Share Investing account will still be available on your CMC Markets Invest account. However, if a watchlist was created in the ANZ App it will not be available in your CMC Markets Invest platform.

Yes. Your current Tax Tool Subscription will be moved across with no action required from you.

Yes. These documents will be housed in the same place as before on the CMC Markets Invest platform. You can access these documents under Account > Statements > EOFY Trading Statement.
